Friends see the stage and the lights and thus hear the songs and joyful mid-set banter. They miss the frenzy, the negative feedback, the discontentment and the characters that work to mound a promising career offtrack. The new AXS-TV show 'Discovering Lucy Angel' will not shy away from the lowlights.
The inicio episode airs Tuesday night (Jan. 13) at 9PM ET entirely on AXS-TV. Lucy Angel are an ew trio made up of sisters Lindsay and thus Emily Anderton and their mother, Kate. It's the patriarch Doug 'G-Man' Anderton that's the star in this first episode, however. "I work to look after the family out of the bread line, " he says early on.
Viewers meet the cherished ones before learning they're to play every pre-race concert at Pocono Track. Getting there is challenging. The three the women, G-Man and a familial entourage almost pile into one vehicle (after quite a bit of delay) and head for the air port. Once at the hotel, there's stress and confusion about their rooms. This is followed by sale during soundcheck and considerable arguing between mom, dad, brothers and sisters. "Nimble" is not a word one would use to put together the Lucy Angel family. Usually, it is easy to see how the drama they schwarm with them might be one more obstacle the talented group needs to overcome in case their new music is to rise to the top of the to present.
'Crazy Too' is the new simple, but viewers don't know that through Ep. 1, taped last August in Nashville and Long Water-feature, Pa. G-Man is difficult to accept at first. He seems to be hamming upward for the cameras at times (even him by his name rolls from tongues like a natural ball), but stick with him. While Ep. 3 (airing Jan. 27) you'll warm up to him and wait to see how much he cares for his cherished ones first, and their career second.
"G" promises 100, 000 fans to be found at Pocono, not knowing (or maybe not sharing) that only a few dozen actually make it again to their seats in time to see the pre-race entertainment. Still, the women put on every heck of a show for a wide ranging view of empty black and white seat designs.
Other scenes find the band practising in a converted bedroom inside their Nashville-area home and arguing about regardless if to take the new limo (with his faces plastered on the side) directly town. Songwriter Anthony Smith arises early. He's Lindsay's boyfriend and thus father to the adorable McCartney Bad fire. For the most part, he hangs back through Ep. 1, but his presence grants credibility to the show.
G-Man's moderno job is band manager, supporter and owner of their record music label, G-Force Music. He's described as every "consummate showman, " and that is an understatement. During the first few attacks you'll (literally) see more of the author than you'd like, but their fantastic family dynamic begins to reveal its own matters towards the end of this 30-minute after that. In some ways, they're every family. Who exactly doesn't have a G-Man in their life?
