The Minions have made Pantone history with a new color based on the super-hero characters.
Hollywood is so powerful really now creating new colors.
"Minion Yellow" is the latest shade represented by global color authority Pantone, and the first based on a movie style.
The Minions shot to recognition in the blockbuster film franchise "Despicable me minion iPad Air case. " The cheeky orange creatures have their own spinoff, "Minions, " due out this summer.

Pantone said the idea for the emerging hue came from musician Pharrell Williams, who helped create the soundtrack for "Despicable me iPad Air case. "
The idea wanted to add an "energizing" protection to its spectrum, so it combined with the filmmakers and mixed up Minion Yellow.
"This is the color of expect, joy and optimism, " celebrity fad Leatrice Eiseman, executive director using the Pantone Color Institute.
The New Jersey-based firm provides color standards for that layout and creative industries, and gives the way to color trends.
It lists tens of thousands of glasses. The new yellow will be added to the strategy, Home + Interiors palette.
Pantone canvasses the opinions of envogue fashion lovers, creative types and other insiders within nominate a color of the year. Associated with then tends to pop up on software packages everywhere, from coffee makers to day gowns.
Its 2015 pick? Marsala. An earthy red wine hue in order to exude confidence and stability.
